Supporting Regenerative &
Organic Practices for
Food, Health, Life
Growing vibrant soil is the foundation of all our practices and philosophies at Strange Rhythms Urban Farm. Established in March 2024, we spent the first year focused on soil health. Because of the rocky, dry Nevada dirt, most of our production is in raised beds.
The additions of homemade compost, horse manure, and organic soil made for fertile ground!
Using:
-
permaculture techniques
-
regenerative agriculture
-
organic principles
-
biodynamic rhythms
-
and healthy soils initiatives
we raised over 525 pounds of food, thousands of flowers, fed dozens of families and community members, and innumerable insects, birds and other pollinators!
This year our goals are to grow over 1000 pounds of food, sell 100 produce baskets, add two bee hives, and host 5 Farm to Table or special celebrations.
Strange Rhythms is my answer to the changing seasons of our lives and times. From climate action to perimenopause support to heart arrythmias to social revolution to empty nesting to increasing access to nourishing food and communities, we are grounded in love, justice, activism and connection.
Please join us on the farm soon!
